An update from your Area Director, Jim Lohbauer, PGA:

Weather continues to be highly unpredictable in the Carolinas and we all must embrace the warm days when we get them.  After record breaking rainfalls this past fall and winter, many of us ended the year falling a little short on rounds.  I hope that 2019 brings all of us a prosperous year and an abundance of activity at our respected facilities.  The Carolinas PGA Annual Meeting and Super Show are fast approaching and I look to ALL Area Professionals to make every effort they can to attend and support these critical events.

Daryl Batey, PGA Junior League Regional Manager, has invited all Area Professionals to join in the PGA Junior League roundtable discussions to be hosted from 9-10 am at River Run Country Club on February 12.  It is important for PGA Members to find out what and how other Members are running PGA Junior League teams and leagues, especially at similar facilities.  The purpose is to have Daryl lead a brief roundtable for new and returning captains to help grow the programming and assist where needed.  If you would like to attend, please rsvp with me asap.

There are several key events in our Area that are highlighted below.  In addition, we are working on adding additional education and events this Spring and early summer so stay tuned.  If there are specific offerings you would like to see in our Area, please let me know.  I want to be respectful of everyone’s time and interests and offer great quality events that benefit everyone.  Should you have a contact or potential sponsor or educational presenter, please let me know as well as we are always looking for new partners.
