Hello CPGA Professional,

Please enjoy this week's newsletter highlighting the Tar Heel Cup Matches, Spring Area Meetings, Compensation Survey Results, and more!

2019 Tar Heel Cup Matches

(Wallace, NC – April 1, 2019) – The 25th Tar Heel Cup Matches took place at River Landing - Landing Course, featuring the top amateurs and PGA Professionals from the state of North Carolina. For the Professionals to take back the cup, 6.5 points were needed, and the amateurs could retain the cup with a 6-point halve.

The Four-Ball matches were split with the amateurs winning two matches and the PGA Professionals winning two. The individual matches proved to be more competitive and the difference maker. The amateurs were able to win five of the eight matches.

In a valiant effort, our pros played hard, but the amateur team came out vicotrious and retained the Tar Heel Cup with a final score of 7-5.

2019 Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals
Sunday, April 7 - August National Golf Club

After conducting 18 DCP qualifiers throughout the 2018 season, we are excited to have three Carolinas' juniors competing in the DCP National Finals this Sunday! Best of luck to Gabriella, McKenzie & Ellen!

We are also proud of three other individuals who will be helping out during the event. The section's own PGA REACH Carolinas Coordinator, Jessica Asbury, will be a chaperone/participant facilitator for the Girls 12-13 division. Piedmont Area Director, AJ Sikula, will be a standard bearer for the Girls 10-11 division. Nick Cannon, from Charlotte CC, will be an awards assistant. Keep your eye out for these awesome volunteers and representatives of our section!

PGA Facility Operations Scorecard

The PGA Facility Operations Scorecard (formerly known as the PGA Annual Operations Survey) is used to help provide our PGA Professionals with key statistics and benchmarking capabilities to support management of golf and club operations. Sporting the same new, streamlined design as last year the scorecard is geared towards making data more efficient and relevant to each PGA Professional filling out the scorecard, where questions are more aligned with revenue and expense topics that are important to PGA Professionals and their facility.

Again this year, PGA Professionals have the opportunity to earn up to three (3) MSR credits depending on the level of detail they wish to provide by completing the scorecard with valid, usable data by the deadline.  MSR credit is automatically applied upon completion of the scorecard.

The scorecard is currently available for the highest-ranked PGA Professional at each facility. Please complete the survey before June 10, 2019.
