Senior Spring Classic
Greensboro, NC - April 8-9

The 2019 Senior schedule kicked off this week in Greensboro, NC for the Senior Spring Classic. Players competed at Greensboro Country Club - Irving Park for the first round on Monday and Greensboro Country Club - Farm Course for the second and final round today. After the first round, two players were tied for the lead in the Professional division at 4-under par. Michael Hutcheon and Derek Sanders held those spots going into the second round, with Steve Larick and Mitch Adams right behind them at 3-under par.

Hutcheon held strong today, shooting 3-under par 69 to finish his 36 holes at 7-under par, 136. Turning in a bogey-free 4-under par, propelling him into that shared lead spot was Steve Larick. Congratulations to Hutcheon and Larick for finishing ahead of the rest of the field by four shots and claiming the title in the first senior event of the season! Great playing by all!

KPMG Women's PGA Championship Golf Clinic
Charlotte Country Club - Monday, April 8

Our President did some great work yesterday at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship Golf Clinic! “I just think it's an awesome way to empower women that are in business and future generations to be more successful and have fun on the golf course. It is a fantastic networking tool to be able to get to the golf course and discuss business. And personally, it was fun and energizing to be meeting new people and networking and teaching such a cool game to some great women!” - Paige Cribb

About the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Golf Clinics: Previously known as the PGA Golf Clinics for Women, these clinics are managed by the PGA of America in conjunction with Jane Blalock, a 27-time winner on the LPGA Tour, and KPMG, the title sponsor of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Clinic participants of all skill levels learn the aspects of social and business golf during an action-packed schedule that includes plenty of personalized instruction, play and assessments from PGA Club Professionals/LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals, a keynote speaker, breakfast, lunch and a networking reception to cap off the program. PGA Facility Operations Scorecard

The PGA Facility Operations Scorecard (formerly known as the PGA Annual Operations Survey) is used to help provide our PGA Professionals with key statistics and benchmarking capabilities to support management of golf and club operations. Sporting the same new, streamlined design as last year the scorecard is geared towards making data more efficient and relevant to each PGA Professional filling out the scorecard, where questions are more aligned with revenue and expense topics that are important to PGA Professionals and their facility.

Again this year, PGA Professionals have the opportunity to earn up to three (3) MSR credits depending on the level of detail they wish to provide by completing the scorecard with valid, usable data by the deadline.  MSR credit is automatically applied upon completion of the scorecard.

The scorecard is currently available for the highest-ranked PGA Professional at each facility. Please complete the survey before June 10, 2019.

Upcoming Pro-Ams

With the passing of Resolution 1 at the Annual Meeting, sanction fees have been eliminated from all Pro-Ams. Any event with more than 8 PGA members and a purse will still need to be sanctioned and the process for doing so will remain the same.
