Lowcountry Area Members and Associates,
As the calendar turns to fall, many of us are ramping up for a busy fall season! With that in mind, here are the highlights of the upcoming meeting, education, and tournament opportunities around the Lowcountry this fall.
Fall Area Meeting
Tuesday, November 12th in Charleston (Club TBD)
Save the date for our next Area Meeting in November! We’re going to partner up with the Palmetto Area (Central SC) and meet up in Charleston for a joint meeting and golf event.
The likely format of the day will be a mid-morning town hall style meeting with lunch provided afterwards. Our annual Chapter 4-Pro Tournament will follow lunch, with Members and Associates from both Areas eligible to team up.
Be on the lookout for final details soon, but go ahead and mark your calendars – I look forward to seeing you there for a great day!
Lowcountry Area Assistants’ Day
Wednesday, September 18th at Country Club of Charleston
12:30 PM Registration, Education Starts at 1:00 PM
Another highlight of our Area/Chapter’s education schedule is fast approaching as CC of Charleston will be hosting the annual Assistants’ Day on Wednesday, September 18th.
CPGA Career Consultant Mike Mueller will lead a presentation focused on career building skills, employment trends, and the services he can provide through PGA Career Consulting. There is no cost to attend the education event, and lunch will be provided!
Following the education event, there is an optional golf event. There’s no formal game, but players may participate in an optional $10 Skins Game. Play begins with a 3:30pm shotgun start.
To sign up for this event, please contact Lowcountry Area Education Committee member Andrew Itterly via email, at email@example.com by Sunday, September 16th.
All Assistant Golf Professionals in the Lowcountry Area are eligible to participate and I encourage those of us in leadership roles (HGPs, DOGs, GMs) to encourage our staff members to attend.
